Kode | Has singing always been your passion because you’ve had an amazing acting career?
Max | Well thank you. Yeah singing has definitely always been my passion. I’ve been really fortunate to play awesome parts on the acting side and that’s something I’d like to always continue to do but I feel like being on stage is my second home and where I feel the most alive.
Kode | You’re also currently on tour with Fall Out Boy and Wiz Khalifa, how has that experience been?
Max | It’s been really incredible. I’ve been fans of everybody on this lineup for so long, so to actually be sharing the stage with them every night is pretty surreal and really an honor. The shows have been amazing.

Kode | Let’s have a quick throwback, how was it working with one of our favorites, KeKe Palmer?
Max | Oh Keke is the bomb. One of the most real and wonderful humans you’ll ever meet. She just radiates this beautiful and joyous energy. She makes everybody she meets feel like they’ve known her for years and she’s such a giving actress and singer. So it’s always such a pleasure working with her.
Kode | How has it felt having such an amazing fan base
Max | I’m really lucky. My people are amazing. They’ve done so much for me and I appreciate their nonstop support so much.
Kode | Do you have any other projects we could look forward to?
Max | I’m finishing up my album which will hopefully be out late fall. Been really blessed to work with incredible artists and producers like Pharrell Williams, Travie Mccoy, Hoodie Allen and so many more.
Kode | #WetHot any crazy fan experiences since you been on tour?
Max | I’d say one of the craziest thus far was falling into the crowd at our Boston show. I fell full on off the stage into the audience and they were very gracious and cheered me on when I jumped back on stage to finish off my single Gibberish.
